This past week I was a guest speaker at the Miva Merchant Internet Conference in San Diego. My presentation, “Turning the Risk Discount into a Trust Premium”, was my last official, public appearance as a member of the buySAFE team. I have included an excerpt video from the session below.
As you probably know, I was a member of buySAFE’s founding team in 2003. Over the years I served as the Company’s Director of Community Development, Director of Business Development and VP of Business Development & Sales. It is with both a bit of sadness and a lot of excitement that I will complete my transition from buySAFE to KidSafe in the coming weeks. If you have not seen what we’re up at KidSafe , there was a great article by Anushay Hossain on The Huffington Post this weekend that speaks to KidSafe and how we’re helping parents with smart tools to keep their kids safe.
After almost seven years of helping to build buySAFE, I am leaving the company in very capable hands and with the brightest future that the company has ever had. My role has been filled by three incredibly talented individuals that will surely take buySAFE to even greater heights. John DiSarlo has joined the buySAFE team as the new VP of Sales & Business Development. Maria Tatone, has joined the team as Director of Business Development and David Ames is the company’s new Director of Enterprise Sales.
It has been a deeply satisfying experience to work with our investors, Grotech Ventures and Core Capital, our many partners and customers and my fellow employees – particularly Jeff Grass, Hans Dreyer, Michael Beveridge, Rob Kody and my brother Steve who originally conceived of buySAFE. I’m thrilled that Steve and I will continue to work together at KidSafe.
I am obviously looking forward to my next adventure, but I am also very much looking forward to buySAFE’s continued success over the coming months and years. Thank you buySAFE.
