My name is Tim Woda. I am a father, husband, an Internet & Child Safety Advocate, public speaker, and the co-founder of uKnow.com.

Like many of you, I have heard too many stories of children falling victim to cyberbullying, teenage indiscretions becoming a permanent part of the Internet and even child predators. But when one of my own children became the target of an Internet predator a few years ago, it was a real wake up call.

While my child was not harmed and the predator is now in prison, it forced me to think about ways to prevent the new technologies kids use from opening doors to such risks.

Professional Experience

Prior to uKnow.com, I was the Vice President of Business Development & Sales for buySAFE, Inc., the world’s leading e-commerce trust and safety company now partially owned by Verisign. I initially joined buySAFE when the company launched in 2003 and prior to assuming revenue responsibility as VP, I served as buySAFE’s Director of Business Development and Director of Community Development.

Before buySAFE, I founded The Telecom Recruiter, LLC, an executive search firm serving the telecommunications industry. I also held the position of Southeast Area Director for MCI Communications where I managed several district sales and service teams and was inducted into the MCI Small Business Hall of Fame.
